| Description: Competition entry against Snohetta and Oma, for the Gateway project 150km east of Dubai. The lesson learnt from this experience is that visualization is not merely an act of representation but a tool for design negotiations. Due to the parameters around the competition, the concept design phase was fast tracked into the deliverables production phase, almost as if we were designing via shop drawings (or Renderings in this case). I was responsible for modeling the geometry using Rhino, as well as designing the competition images, finished by professional visualization artists. |
