Description: The Building form and experience is all about movements; from the formal gesture to the spatial procession, but there was a problem of scale; it was a bit too big, especially up close. That's where the facade pattern came in. We needed something to bridge the scale, and more importantly, direct the audience's gaze. M.C. Escher's "Sky and Water" became a natural muse. The curiosity to understand the transformation drew movement. This was the movement I needed to visually 'activate' the facade. The fine gentlemen at Zahner are a fine bunch to work with. They were critical for pattern optimization without which this would not have been possible. Photo Credit: Dallas Photoworks |
